Kavalikefta
Crystal-clear water and large rocks, near Kalamitsi
Kavalikefta is a beautiful beach in the Kalamitsi area, with sand, imposing rocks at the shore and remarkably clear water. Less crowded than its neighbours, it offers a spectacular natural setting and a small beach bar.
Wild, sculpted by the sea
Kavalikefta is the beach you choose when you want the west coast without the crowds: pale sand, large wave-carved rocks and water so clear that boats seem to float in mid-air. The landscape is raw, natural, almost untouched.
The rocks in the water
The stone formations rising out of the sand and the sea are the beach's signature and a photographer's favourite subject. Around them the water is shallow and clear, ideal for snorkelling and unhurried exploring.
The winding road from Kalamitsi
You arrive through the village of Kalamitsi, on a narrow winding road that drops towards the sea. Drive without hurry, parking spots are few, and the beach below rewards every bend. In season there's a small beach bar; otherwise bring your own.
How to get there
By car from Lefkada, about 30 min through Kalamitsi village, on a narrow winding road down to the beach.
