1. Who we are

Discover Lefkada is a consulting and intermediation service for travel to the island of Lefkada, Greece, operated by the company below. When this document says “we”, “Discover Lefkada” or “Ema”, it refers to this company.

2. What we do and what we don't

Discover Lefkada helps you find a suitable place to stay on the island and puts you in touch with the owner or host of the place you choose. We personally check the places we recommend and give you information, suggestions and support.

We are not the owner of the accommodation and we do not sell the stay ourselves. The accommodation contract is concluded directly between you and the owner or host of the property. Our role is intermediation: we facilitate the booking, but the accommodation service itself is provided by the owner, who is responsible for it under their own conditions.

We do not sell package holidays within the meaning of the law. We recommend accommodation and, on request, suggest activities on the island, each booked separately and provided by independent suppliers.

3. How a booking works

The prices and availability shown on the site are indicative and can only be confirmed after checking. When you send a request through the site or on WhatsApp:

• We receive your request with the stay details (dates, number of people, the accommodation you want).
• We check real availability with the owner and reply, usually within 24 hours at most.
• We tell you the final price, the owner's conditions and the steps to confirm.
• The booking becomes firm only after our written confirmation and your acceptance.

A request sent through the site is not a confirmed booking and does not oblige you to pay until you receive our confirmation.

4. Prices and payment

At the moment we do not take payments through the site. Payment for the accommodation is made directly to the owner or host, under the conditions and by the methods communicated when the booking is confirmed. Before you confirm, we tell you clearly how much you have to pay, when and to whom.

Prices are expressed in euros unless stated otherwise. Local Greek taxes (for example a stay tax) may apply on site; these are borne by the traveller and we flag them to you when we know of them.

5. Cancellations and changes

The cancellation and change conditions belong to the owner of each accommodation and are communicated to you in writing before confirmation. Please read them carefully, as they can vary from one place to another.

If you want to cancel or change a confirmed booking, write to us as soon as possible and we handle the contact with the owner. Any penalties or refund rules are those set by the owner.

6. Right of withdrawal

Accommodation services for a specific date or period are exempt from the 14-day right of withdrawal, under art. 16(l) of GEO no. 34/2014 on consumer rights. Therefore, for an accommodation booking with fixed dates the 14-day withdrawal does not apply, and the cancellation conditions remain those in point 5.

7. Liability

We make reasonable efforts to keep the information and photos on the site correct and up to date, and we only recommend places we have checked. Nevertheless, the accommodation service is provided by the owner, who is responsible for its conformity, quality and safety.

To the extent permitted by law, Discover Lefkada is not liable for the non-performance or improper performance of services provided by owners, hosts or other independent suppliers, nor for events outside our reasonable control. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

8. Intellectual property

The texts, photos, logo and other materials on the site belong to Discover Lefkada or are used with the rights holders' consent. You may not copy, reproduce or use them commercially without our written consent.

9. Your personal data

We process your personal data as we explain in the Privacy Policy. We recommend you read it to understand what data we collect, why, and what rights you have.

10. Complaints and dispute resolution

If you have a complaint, write to us first at [email protected] and we try to resolve it directly and as quickly as possible.

You can also contact the National Authority for Consumer Protection (ANPC): anpc.ro. For alternative dispute resolution (ADR), you can use the dedicated ANPC platform: reclamatiisal.anpc.ro.

The European ODR platform was shut down on 20 July 2025 and is no longer available, which is why we no longer point to it.

11. Applicable law and changes

These terms are governed by Romanian law, respecting the rights granted to you as a consumer by the law of your country of residence. We may update these terms, and the version in force is the one published here, with the last-updated date above.
