Kathisma

A long golden-sand beach with lively beach bars

Easy to reachSand

Kathisma is the most popular beach on the west coast, with a generous stretch of sand and crystal-clear water. It offers sunbeds, beach bars and water sports, ideal for families and for spectacular sunsets over the sea.

The beach with everything

Kathisma is the big, generous beach of the west coast: a long stretch of golden sand, clear water that deepens gradually and enough room to find your own corner even in August. It's the safe choice for a full day at the beach with no compromises.

Beach bars and sunsets

Beach bars line the sand with sunbeds, music and summer kitchens. Towards evening Kathisma plays its trump card: the sun sets straight into the sea, and the beach becomes one of the island's best places for a cocktail at dusk.

Adrenaline above the sea

From the village of Exanthia, high on the slope, paragliders launch and land right on the beach. Down below you can try water sports or just watch them glide over the bay. When the afternoon wind picks up, there are good waves to play in too.

Practical, for the whole family

You get there easily, 20–25 minutes by car from Lefkada town, with parking by the beach. The organised stretch is ideal for families, while the far ends of the beach stay freer for those after some quiet.

How to get there

By car from Lefkada, about 20–25 min along the west coast; parking right by the beach.
