Agiofili is a small, idyllic cove with white pebbles and turquoise water of rare transparency. You reach it by water taxi from Vasiliki or by a footpath over the hill, and its seclusion and scenery make it a favourite spot for snorkelling.

Agiofili is a small, idyllic cove hidden behind the rocky corner at Vasiliki: white pebbles, turquoise water of rare transparency and cliffs closing it in like an amphitheatre. It's the kind of place that ends up on postcards.
Water taxi or footpath
Water taxis leave regularly from Vasiliki's harbour and drop you on the beach in a few minutes. The alternative is the footpath over the hill, a 20–25 minute walk with lovely views over the cove. On the way back, the boat is the perfect treat.
Snorkelling in clear water
The water is so clear you can see the seabed from the cliffs above. Bring your mask: schools of fish swim around the rocks that enclose the cove, and the morning light makes everything sparkle.
Come early
The beach is small and well loved, so in July and August it fills up fast. Come in the morning or towards the end of the day, when the tourist boats leave and the cove turns quiet again.
How to get there
From Lefkada, about 40 min to Vasiliki; then a few minutes by water taxi or a footpath of about 20–25 min on foot.
