Setting off towards dusk
The boat leaves Nidri in the late afternoon, when the sea settles and the light turns warm. The route passes the coves between Skorpios and Meganisi, away from the bustle of the day.
A swim in calm water
It stops for a swim in a sheltered bay, where the water is warm and clear. It's the ideal moment for a last dip in the sea, with the island outlined against a sky that begins to catch fire.
The glass at sunset
On the way back you're poured a glass of local wine as the sun sinks into the Ionian Sea. The sky turns through orange and pink, and the lights of Nidri slowly come on along the shore.
